Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Tony Cairoli settled his career eighth world motocross title. At the Goias Motocross Grand Prix in Brazil Tony Cairoli crossed the line in fifth place in the opening race to give him an unbeatable lead in the championship points of 89 with just 75 up for grabs in the three races that remained. Despite racing with a painful eye injury picked up in Saturday’s qualifying, Cairoli, a Red Bull sponsored athlete, rode his KTM 350 SX-F to a 4-3 result on Sunday for his eventual overall third.
Cairoli said it was amazing to have taken his eighth title. “When you are a kid you wish for such a thing but you never think you can do it,” he said. “Its hard work but it gives you back many good things. I managed to finish on the podium in all but three races and that was good to achieve points for the season.

KTM Red Bull factory rider Ken Roczen from Germany reigns at the 46th running of the Hangtown Motocross Classic. The KTM riders occupied the top spots at California track. Roczen ran away from the field and that was all she wrote at Hangtown. Those questioning the teenagers ability to endure a 35-minute moto need not question any longer.
Roczen's 1-1 gives him the points lead as the series heads to Lakewood, Colorado, this Saturday.
With a 2-2, Dungey is only five points shy of Ken.

Red Bull F1 pilot Sebastian Vettel leads from start to finish to extend his lead in the title race to 13 points with Fernando Alonso second and Mark Webber third.
Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel had a lonely race from pole to the chequered flag at the Indian Grand Prix as the German took another step towards a Formula One title hat-trick. Vettel got his fourth victory in a row, a first for him, ahead of title rival Fernando Alonso of Ferrari and Mark Webber of Red Bull, who had to relinquish second place late in the race with problems with the Kers power boost system.
Alonso led Vettel by 39 points but the German turned the deficit into a 13—point lead into the final three races with victories in Singapore, Japan, South Korea and India.
Vettel has 240 points to Alonso’s 227, with Kimi Raikkonen of Lotus (173) and Webber (167) with only a mathematical chance. McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton (165) and Jenson Button (141) are now officially out of the title race after coming fourth and fifth, respectively.

Sebastian Vettel powers to pole position India GP. Sebastian Vettel continued his dominance of the Indian Grand Prix weekend by securing the 35th pole position of his Formula One career. After winning the last three races to take up the lead in the world title battle, Vettel is on course to extend that advantage should he score a second successive victory at the Buddh International Circuit.
The 24-year-old German, quickest in all three practice sessions, edged out Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber by just 0.044 seconds, nailing his second flying lap in the top-10 shoot-out after making an error on his first run.
It is the first time in Red Bull's history they have managed to lock out the front row of the grid for three consecutive races.
Behind the Red Bulls will be the McLarens of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, the former a quarter of a second behind Vettel.
For Fernando Alonso, trailing Vettel by six points in the standings, the Spaniard will have to fight his way through as he starts fifth in his Ferrari followed by team-mate Felipe Massa.
Lotus' Kimi Raikkonen, still in with an outside chance of the title, lines up seventh in his Lotus, with Sauber's Sergio Perez a superb eighth.
Pastor Maldonado, who was fastest at the end of the first session in his Williams, starts ninth, with Nico Rosberg 10th for Mercedes.



A slight mistake in Q2 cost Romain Grosjean dear as the Frenchman missed out on a place in the top 10 by 0.025secs to Massa.
The Lotus driver will start 11th ahead of Nico Hulkenberg in his Force India, with team-mate Paul Di Resta a lowly 16th, his worst grid slot since last year's Belgian Grand Prix.
In between the duo are Williams' Bruno Senna, Michael Schumacher in his Mercedes and Toro Rosso's Daniel Ricciardo, whilst Sauber driver Kamui Kobayashi finished a staggering 1.2secs down on team-mate Perez and starts 17th.

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel took a dominant victory in the Korean Grand Prix to take the world championship lead from Ferrari's Fernando Alonso. Vettel's victory was his third in a row and it makes him the first driver to win four races this season. Team-mate Mark Webber was second ahead of Alonso. Vettel has a six-point lead over the Spaniard with four races to go.
Lewis Hamilton's title hopes are effectively over after his McLaren struggled to 10th. Lotus's Kimi Raikkonen took fifth, stretching his lead over Hamilton in third place in the championship, but Vettel has a 48-point lead over Raikkonen and a further 14 over Hamilton with only 100 points still available in the remaining races in India, Abu Dhabi, the USA and Brazil.
Vettel's second crushing victory within a week - along with Webber's comfortable second place - confirms the impression that Red Bull have made a significant step forward with their car and that the German is on course for a third consecutive title.
The Red Bull driver got the jump on team-mate Mark Webber from second on the grid and was able to ease away to his third win in a row and go six points clear of Fernando Alonso, despite concerns his right-front tyre would wear out in the closing laps. Webber was a solid second as Red Bull became the first team to secure a one-two finish in 2012, with Alonso getting the maximum out of his Ferrari with third place.

Sebastian Vettel gave his hopes of claiming a third-consecutive world title a huge boost as he took advantage of Fernando Alonso's first-lap retirement with a consummate Japanese Grand Prix victory at Suzuka.
Vettel cruised to his third victory of the season, and second in a row, to move him to within four points of Alonso at the top of the drivers' championship, after the Spaniard dramatically crashed out at the first corner after contact with Kimi Raikkonen.
Ferrari's Felipe Massa took second ahead of Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi. It was Massa's first podium of the year and may well have secured his future at Ferrari, while
Behind Massa, Kobayashi held off a determined challenge from Button, who was battling with a gearbox that was intermittently slipping into neutral.
Red Bull's Mark Webber fought up from the back of the field after being hit from behind at the first corner to take ninth ahead of Daniel Ricciardo, who held off Michael Schumacher's Mercedes in the last few laps.
For Vettel, it was one the most comfortable victories of the year. He converted pole position into a lead at the first corner and streaked away into a race of his own.

Marc Coma with Red Bull KTM in Baja 500. Three-time Dakar Rally winner Marc Coma will ride a Red Bull KTM in the Baja 500 on June 2, according to a press release from his team.Coma, who is generally regarded as the best rally rider in the world, has competed in the Nevada 1000 but never in the Baja 500.

The race of the next 2nd of June, with almost 500 miles (724 Kilometers) - Baja 500 updates here - will be disputed in only one day by teams of 2 pilots taking turns at the controls of the same bike, in a route marked with arrows running along Baja California and without the need of a road book to follow up the race. Coma will play this test in the structure of KTM USA at the controls of a KTM 450 Enduro, similar to the one that he is going to use in the Raids World Championship test, in Sardinia. To become familiar with this test, the participants are allowed to train through the same road of the test during the previous days of the race. Coma will travel to Mexico with the illusion to debut in this legendary event.

Red Bull Teka KTM’s Ken Roczen on Sunday sealed the MX2 World championship title with one clear round in hand. The 17-year old talent was in perfect form when he attacked the track at Gaildorf, Germany in the GP of Europe. Urged on by thousands of loyal fans and the entire KTM factory team Roczen settled the issue after the second moto to pick up his first senior world championship title but was still shadowed by his teammate and toughest competitor Jeffrey Herlings. With the victory, Roczen, widely recognized as one of the hottest MX properties around and still only 17, became Germany’s first motocross champion in 40 years and his home crowd gave him a reception that he will long remember. Roczen signed with the Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Team in January 2011. Shortly after he grabbed plenty of attention riding AMA Supercross Lites in the West Coast series in the USA.




Ken, on a fast learning curve in the highly competitive series even secured his first SX podium towards the end of the season. He even had a couple of impressive outings on the KTM 350 SX-F in the open class. A favorite throughout the world championship season, Roczen started strongly, then overcame a mid season lapse to settle down to a string of unassailable victories in the second half that allowed him to put his stamp firmly on the title. Red Bull Teka KTM factory rider Tony Cairoli on Sunday sealed the 2011 MX1 World Championship title to retain the number one position in the sport for yet another year. It was the Italian rider’s fifth world title and another testament to his superb skill on all racing surfaces, his legendary fighting spirit and his wily race tactics that often see him go on the attack in the closing stages of a race. Cairoli settled the matter of retaining the title after the first moto at Gaildorf, Germany in the GP of Europe with one moto and one GP still in hand. It is the second consecutive year that Cairoli has triumphed on the light and lively KTM 350 SX-F factory bike, developed with input from KTM’s factory team boss Stefan Everts and so successfully launched in 2010. The Italian factory rider’s season was, however, not as straightforward as he would have liked.


After a setback with injury in the opening round in Bulgaria he then set about showing his usual tactical brilliance and absolute determination to consistently score as many points as possible to put him in range of the title. Despite his knee injury in Bulgaria Tony still managed to pick up 25 championship points. In fact that proved to be the lowest scoring round of the competition. His unsettling injury problem may have kept him leaning on the side of caution in the first half of the season but he was still rarely off the podium. Read more here...
