Red Bull Motor Sports Racing

The 47th annual SCORE Baja 500 took place in Ensenada on Saturday June 6th, 2015. The weather was picturesque at the start in downtown Ensenada with temperatures reaching 75 degrees. Qualifying took place on Thursday before the race outside of Ensenada.
The course was a short 5-mile track that contained multiple types of terrain to keep the best off road drivers on their toes. Upon finishing his qualifying lap, Menzies found himself in third. After the remaining drivers took to the course Bryce dropped a few spots to start the five hundred mile course in sixth position.
Menzies took off from the start line at 10:06am on Saturday and quickly passed 3 trucks to get himself into third place physically. On corrected time, Bryce was right there for the lead. Menzies charged through the pine forest which is mostly single track, sitting just outside the dust of Luke McMillin.
Menzies continued to stay in contention for the lead until they began to lose water to the motor. They added water at a remote pit but this did not fix the issue, just put a band-aid on it. At race mile 340, Menzies jumped on the radio to relay to the team that the motor had quit running.

2012 SCORE Baja 500 was another epic race for the record books. Bryce Menzies takes the win over Bj Baldwin by mere seconds after tackling 450 miles of the roughest terrain that Baja California has to offer.
The first truck to cross the finish line would be that of the Monster Energy Drink Trophy Truck #97; BJ Baldwin. Shortly after Baldwin crossed the finish line, the 2011 SCORE Baja 500 winner and 2011 SCORE Points Champion; Bryce Menzies would come sliding into the finish line.

Vildósola Red Bull Racing Team, 2010 Baja 1000 overall winner, first mexican team ever win Baja 1000. Campeones del primer lugar absoluto en Baja 1000 2010. After months of preparation and adjustments, Vildosola Racing finally will introduce their new Trophy Truck to Baja. Marc Coma with Red Bull KTM in Baja 500. Three-time Dakar Rally winner Marc Coma will ride a Red Bull KTM in the Baja 500 on June 2, according to a press release from his team.Coma, who is generally regarded as the best rally rider in the world, has competed in the Nevada 1000 but never in the Baja 500.

The race of the next 2nd of June, with almost 500 miles (724 Kilometers) - Baja 500 updates here - will be disputed in only one day by teams of 2 pilots taking turns at the controls of the same bike, in a route marked with arrows running along Baja California and without the need of a road book to follow up the race. Coma will play this test in the structure of KTM USA at the controls of a KTM 450 Enduro, similar to the one that he is going to use in the Raids World Championship test, in Sardinia. To become familiar with this test, the participants are allowed to train through the same road of the test during the previous days of the race. Coma will travel to Mexico with the illusion to debut in this legendary event.

Baja 500 is a race of the SCORE Desert Series championship run at the Baja Peninsula. it's loop race with start and finish in Ensenada, state of Baja California (which is the northern part of the Baja peninsula). The Baja 500 is a popular off-road desert race and the 2012 - 44th - edition will be held 1.-3. June 2012. Red Bull has 2 potential winner teams in the prime Trophy Truck. Victorious at the 2011 Baja 500 and SCORE "Rookie of the Year" desert series champion Bryce Menzies starting in his #1 Red Bull Trophy Truck (Menzies Motorsport) running KMC wheels and BFGoodrich tires as 19th.

The second Red Bull athlete Gustavo Vildosola, Jr. in the #21 red Bull Trophy Truck (Vildosola Racing) will trail him 3 slots behind. Will a Red Bull athlete win and make it 2 years in a row for red Bull in the TT class??
Lot's of - Red Bull - eyes will also spend attention what the KTM team is up to. Another Red Bull athlete, Ivan Ramirez teamed up with Kurt Caselli are striving for a repeat of their San Felipe 250 victory aiming for the SCORE desert race championship on 2 wheels.

Bryce Menzies leads wire to wire at today's Tecate SCORE Baja 500! Bryce Menzies and co-driver Pete Mortenson started the race first in the Trophy Truck class and never look back. They had clean air all day long as they took the checkered flag Saturday evening! Congrats to the entire Redbull Menzies Motorsports race team!
